The film tells about the life in the Georgian village. And they cover a fairly significant piece of the life heroes: peace in the Great Patriotic War and the war years. Abuladze managed to save the picture in the lyrical, painted a soft tone of humor - the main stylistic feature story Nodar Dumbadze, ubereg touching scenes of flying sentimentality and drama up to the tragic tension.

胤祥 说：摄影真是美极了（雪景和第比利斯城）。轻喜剧加上农村青年、二战（送年轻人们当兵那段也很感人）、城市生活等等，最后落到祖母去世回乡建设上面来，算是个颇为积极向上的社会主义现实主义电影。两个老头话痨斗嘴也蛮有趣。
