看书的人何必知 说：伪纪录片形式，找演员和专家还原当年林肯被刺杀的历史现场，并梳理了刺杀者的心理状态。除此之外展现了林肯的战后生活以及当天另一场刺杀行动，充实了林肯生命中最后一天对于美国的意义。相对而言还是拍得挺好看的。
照叶 说：虽然避免不了细节上的不准确，但是节奏比较紧凑，比同题材的另外几部好。
